    Belair National Park: Set in beau­ti­ful nat­ur­al bush­land, Belair Nation­al Park is just 25 min­utes from Ade­laide city cen­tre. It is the ide­al place to get active in the great out­doors. There are wood­lands and lakes to explore, walk­ing and moun­tain bik­ing trails to suit all lev­els of fit­ness, plus ten­nis courts and crick­et pitch­es avail­able for hire. This is South Australia’s old­est nation­al park, and is home to Old Gov­ern­ment House – a sig­nif­i­cant her­itage build­ing. Also in the park is State Flo­ra, the old­est plant nurs­ery in South Aus­tralia and still going strong today. The park remains one of the few rel­a­tive­ly undis­turbed areas of native veg­e­ta­tion in the Ade­laide Hills region, mak­ing it an impor­tant refuge for native plants and animals. - View Google Map

    Kuitpo Forest: Kuitpo Forest is located on Kaurna and Peramangk Country, near Meadows in the Mount Lofty Ranges. Established in 1898, it was the first of a number of forest plantations in the area established to ensure a sustainable timber resource for South Australia. Today, the Kuitpo Forest Reserve covers an area of 3,600 hectares, of which 60% (2,100ha) is plantation, and is home to our Head Office and Visitor Information Centre. Located within ForestrySA’s broader Mount Lofty Ranges forest estate, Kuitpo Forest Reserve is modelled as a community forest. It is managed for sustainable commercial forestry, while providing for the conservation of native flora and fauna and community use for recreation. Kuitpo’s proximity to Adelaide – just an hour’s drive from the city – also makes it a popular place to visit. Hundreds of thousands of visitors come to camp and enjoy hut-style accommodation, bushwalk, horse ride, mountain bike and take part in a host of organised community events each year. - View Google Map
